For residents of our apartments in Leesburg, VA summer time means picnic time! Leesburg is home to several parks with some located less than four miles from our community. Here are some tips to help you plan a great picnic.

Proper picnic preparation is the first step. Choose a small cooler for two people, and a medium to large cooler for up to six people.

Gather up all your picnic supplies including a tablecloth or blanket, utensils, and napkins. Don’t forget to bring a hat or sunscreen!

When packing up your picnic foods use zipper seal bags or plastic containers to prevent leaks and cross-contamination. Do any prep work required ahead of time so when you get to the picnic you can simply enjoy yourself.

Once your picnic is packed it’s time to choose the locale. Residents of our apartments in Leesburg, VA seeking a top-notch picnic location will want to check out Ida Lee Recreation Center.

This park is 138 acres of fun and features two outdoor playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, and an indoor pool.
