A Dinosaur-themed Park to Quell Cabin Fever
Anytime the little ones at The Metropolitan at Village at Leesburg are feeling the unsettling effects of cabin fever, take them down the road to Ashburn Dinosaur Park. The editors at About.com called it one of Virginia’s best, and it’s only 6 miles away.
Ashburn Dinosaur Park is a sprawling 16-acre park adjacent to Ashburn, VA, with three separate playgrounds for different ages. This place has enough swings, slides, monkey bars and the like to entertain a small army of children. The park is set in the woods so when the weather heats up in the summer there is still plenty of shade.
Are there dinosaurs? Not really. It is known as Dinosaur Park because of its themed playground equipment.
The park offers a covered picnic pavilion and trails that meander through the wooded property, across two streams and connect to the surrounding community.
Loudoun County maintains several outstanding parks for you and your kids to while away a warm afternoon. Pack a lunch and go play!
